“He Will Supply” , a song by superstar gospel artist Kirk Franklin, is my theme song.  The words of this song are so powerful and encouraging that I sing it almost everyday.

I know losing your baby hurts, but know that He Will Supply.  Jesus will give you what you need during this painful time.  Just ask for the Lord’s help.

HE WILL SUPPLY

(Verse)  Though your vessel be empty

He will supply

For his yoke is easy

He will supply

(Chorus)  He will supply

He will supply

He will supply

Oh Jesus said that he will supply

(Verse)  So your dreams feel like memories

He will supply

And some relationships are now ending

He will supply

(Chorus)

(“My favorite” Verse) So my friend don’t you worry

He will supply

This is just temporary

He will supply

(Chorus)  He wil supply

He will supply

Oh Jesus (repeat 2x)

My Jesus

Sweet Jesus

Yes Jesus

Oh Jesus said that he will supply

(Vamp) Oh supply (repeat 6x)

He said he will (repeat 3x)

Supply

I know he will (repeat 3x)

Supply

He told me he will (repeat 3x)

Supply

He said he will (repeat 3x)

Supply

Try not to blame yourself for your miscarriage.  Blame helps no one, whether you blame yourself or someone else.  Rather than blame try these suggestions first.

1.  It will be more helpful to speak at length with your OB/GYN and find out if there is something medically wrong.  For me, it was an incompetent cervix, also known as a weak cervix.  Perhaps when you and your husband decide to try again, you and your doctor will have a much-needed plan for the next time.

2.  Second, talk to a mental health professional.  These professionals will help you deal with your miscarriage from a mental and emotional standpoint.    He or she may talk with you or give the references to other mental health professionals.  Feel free to call.  Having a safe place to express your feelings is a great place to gather some mental and emotional insight.

3.  Lastly, consult spiritual help from your pastor, church leader, or learned church member.  I’m sure you may question God and wonder why he allowed this to happen to you.  Your pastor can give you scripture to read as well as pray with you.  These things will make you a stronger person, and a better witness for Jesus Christ, should you run into someone who has had a miscarriage too.
